A Walk of Resonance
If you venture to the backcountry of the Temple of Ethid, beyond the curated lands, a curious experience awaits. It is an indistinguishable blend of nature and sentient intent. These walkways, a blend of organic and engineered architecture, were developed by architects and alchemists alike, and then given back to nature to finish its final (and continuing) stage of development. The planet’s ionic energies congealed upon the frame of a massive, handcrafted walkway. It crystallized to form a network of colourful, glowing glassy forms. After a time, they were then revisited by their architects, and built upon to give the impression of a hallway, with walls and windows.
Those wanting to do meditative journeys, walk the Halls. Moving along the path, they witness a responsive light show that is stirred by the vibrations of their footsteps. The resulting illuminating experience serves to evoke the inner-essence of the walker as they sense their relationship with this large, living structure. The juxtaposition of this framework, and the surrounding environment that took part in its completion, elicits a feeling of home and comfort, coupled with a kinship with the unwieldy realities of the powerful, natural world.
Some who feel brave continue the walk into the evening, venturing further to the often stormy shores, to experience the Halls in their most surreal form. Here, an almost frightening experience occurs as the tides creep in and merge with these towering structures. They mirror this ocean’s natural undulations as they glow, and pulsate, as if they are breathing. Like tidal waves frozen in time, they tower over their guests, providing a strangely comforting cover from the elements above. The tide falls just short of the footings of these live sculptures, bringing a special feeling of bonding between the solid presence of metal and earth, and the malleable realm of the Dream beckoning from the seas.
